Day 4 of the Fast of Daniel
The Plan of God
The plan of the Most High for us is unimaginable. In terms of life, it goes beyond what one can fathom. He has offered us hints of this greatness by mentioning the sacrifices required to conquer.
For example, when He said:
Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. Matthew 7.13-14
He defines conquering eternal life as something that, if it were vulgar, cheap and accessible to all, there wouldn’t be a door or a need for faith to enter it. But, since its value is far from what can be fathomed, most do not care about the eternal future of their soul. They remain apart from the plan of God.
However, when the Light of Faith illuminates the “few” through the Spirit of the Creator, there is also vision, firm hope and, above all, faith to persevere in entering the narrow gate and insisting on following the narrow path of eternal life prepared by the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him. But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.
For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 1 Corinthians 2.9-11
