Are you in a position where you’re urgently in need of an answer?
Perhaps you’re waiting to hear back about your immigration status. Maybe it’s the job you applied weeks ago, a court decision you’ve been anxiously anticipating, or the moment when that long-awaited work contract will finally be signed.
In a world where we have grown accustomed to instant results – fast food, next-day delivery and entertainment at the click of a button, waiting for answers to life’s challenges can feel like an eternity. It’s in moments like these that people give up or try to take the easy way out. But those quick fixes usually end up making things worse.
So, what should you do? Let’s learn from the story of the persistent widow in the Bible, found in Luke 18:1-8.
The judge in her story was not a compassionate man. He had no regard for justice or the needs of the vulnerable. Yet, this widow did not let her status define her actions. She kept coming back. She kept knocking. She kept demanding justice. Her persistence moved even an indifferent judge to act on her behalf.
Her story reminds us that even when the odds are stacked against us, even when we feel ignored or overlooked, there is power in persistence.
No matter what you’re facing today, or how long you’ve been waiting, Jesus tells us: “Call to me, and I will answer you…” (Jeremiah 33:3)
Let the persistent widow inspire you, and join us for the Prosperity with God meeting, which we have declared as the Monday of Answers. Come believing that you too, will receive your answer, and all who work in the construction industry will be blessed as well.
